About Canopy Technologies

Canopy technologies is an IT-company which is highly dedicated to increase efficiency of office work and create support solution for major office tasks or repeated duties. Through development, we have created cloud-based solutions which help our customers get all needed tools for administration work online, without any need for installation or internal IT department work.

We aim for simplicity for our clients, which is achieved through research and sophisticated technological solutions throughout all of our systems and our expert teams.

We are targeting small and middle-sized companies in international market, though most of our products are developed to the point where they are optimized even for companies with thousands of users/employees. All our systems are developed from scratch in order to offer a complete system for our customers at the best possible price.

History

Canopy Technologies is a Norwegian software company started by the founders Jan O. Osnes Krogh and Radim Pospisil. The company is 100% owned by them and has no investors.

The company was founded in January 2013, but there has been a long developing period before this for the products that were launched together with the founding of the company, a development that is an ongoing process in order to be in forefront of our customers need.

We have had a rapid growth since we started and today we have 4 offices in 3 countries with a handpicked team of professionals dedicated to their field.

What does Canopy stand for?

We chose the name Canopy for our company, since this in biology means the aboveground portion of a plant community or crop, formed by plant crowns. Shade trees normally have a dense canopy that blocks light from lower growing plants.

For us, this symbolizes the tree with long roots and a good foundation in the ground. The branches represent our solutions that continuously grow and develop, while the shade trees are symbolizing our cloud service.

Through cloud technology, we make the system easy to use and at the same time keeping our customers data safe and available when they are needed.

Our business model is based on offering a best possible system also for the smallest companies, since we know how important this is in any business. Through our module based system Canopy Office, our customer’s only pay for what they need, and making it easy to expand with adding users and modules as you grow, removing the need of changing IT-system.

By offering this on global basis for a large number of users, we are able to keep the prices down.
